Local processing can reduce the amount of raw video that needs to leave a site, but it does not remove the need for a complete data-governance design. Each deployment should define:
- What data is processed and retained
- What leaves the site and when
- Who can access events and system information
- How the device and communications path are secured
- How performance is monitored over time
